Shipping Policy — Caliber Depot

This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed on caliberdepot.com, operated by Down Range Supply LLC doing business as Caliber Depot.
1. How We Ship
Caliber Depot operates as a dropship retailer. Your order ships directly from our licensed distributor’s warehouse to your chosen FFL dealer (for firearms) or directly to your address (for ammunition, accessories, and other non-firearm items). We do not maintain a physical retail inventory.
2. Firearm Shipments
All firearms must be shipped to a federally licensed firearms dealer (FFL). At checkout, you will be prompted to provide your FFL dealer’s information. We strongly recommend contacting your FFL dealer before placing your order to confirm they will accept the transfer and to ask about any transfer fees they charge.
- Handguns are shipped via 2-day air service as required by federal law.
- Long guns (rifles and shotguns) are shipped via ground service.
- Your FFL dealer will notify you when your firearm arrives. You must complete ATF Form 4473 and pass a background check before taking possession.
- FFL transfer fees are set by your dealer and are not included in our pricing. These fees are paid directly to your FFL dealer.
3. Ammunition & Non-Firearm Items
Ammunition and accessories ship directly to your provided shipping address, subject to the following:
- Ammunition cannot be shipped to P.O. boxes and must be signed for upon delivery.
- Ammunition shipments are subject to state and local regulations. It is your responsibility to verify that ammunition can be legally shipped to your address.
- Certain states and municipalities restrict the purchase or shipment of specific types of ammunition. Orders found to be non-compliant may be cancelled and refunded.
- Standard ground shipping applies to most non-firearm items.
4. Processing & Delivery Times
Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days by our distributors. Estimated delivery times from ship date:
- Handguns: 2 business days (2-day air, federally required).
- Long guns and accessories: 3–7 business days (ground).
- Ammunition: 3–7 business days (ground).
Processing times may be longer during high-demand periods, holidays, or for backordered items. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships. If you have not received a tracking number within 5 business days of placing your order, please contact us at [email protected].
5. Shipping Restrictions
Caliber Depot ships to the contiguous 48 states only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or any address where shipment is prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
Certain products may not be available in all states due to local regulations, including magazine capacity restrictions or other firearm laws. It is your responsibility to ensure any product you purchase is legal in your state and municipality. Orders that cannot be legally fulfilled will be cancelled and refunded.
Please ensure you are aware of your local and state laws regarding the online purchase of firearms and ammunition. Compliance with all applicable laws is solely the customer’s responsibility.
6. Order Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use this to monitor your shipment directly with the carrier. For order status questions, contact us at [email protected] or 602-633-4056.
7. Lost or Damaged Shipments
If your order arrives damaged or is lost in transit, please contact us within 5 business days of the expected delivery date. We will work with our distributor and the carrier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Please do not discard any damaged packaging or product, as it may be required for a carrier claim.
8. Refused or Returned Shipments
If a firearm shipment is refused or returned by your FFL dealer for any reason, you will be responsible for all return shipping costs and a 20% restocking fee — no exceptions. Please ensure your FFL dealer information is accurate and confirm they will accept the transfer before placing your order. Any reshipment to a different dealer will be subject to additional fees.
